2. How We Use Your Information
Your email address is used solely to send the Ask Rhode Island newsletter and important site updates. We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Anonymous analytics data helps us understand which content is most useful and improve the site.

Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years. Anonymous analytics data is retained per Google Analytics default settings (26 months). Search query logs are retained for 12 months for the purpose of improving search results.
8. Your Rights (CCPA & GDPR)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request deletion of your personal data; opt out of personalized advertising; and withdraw consent at any time. 9. Children's Privacy
AskRhodeIsland.com is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
